We’re Not Protesting. We’re Resting. And Rebuilding.

After the 2024 presidential election, it became clear who understood the assignment—and who didn’t. No more confusion. No more waiting for folks to “get it.”

This moment isn’t about protests. It’s about us, so stop explaining this to everybody and their momma. Our peace is essential and should be protected with unapologetic boundaries.

Let’s Be Clear:

• We are not next; we were never off the list.
• Since being kidnapped and brought to this land, we’ve lived under systems designed to exploit, silence, and erase us.
• White supremacy didn’t retire after the Civil Rights Movement; it just changed outfits.

So, What Do We Do Now? We Turn Inward.

Instead of reacting to every blow, we need to protect our peace and focus on our people.

This is a season for:

• Resting – without guilt.
• Rebuilding – what serves us.
• Re-centering – our families, our futures, and our power.

Recommendations to Stabilize and Strengthen Our Communities:

🖤 Circulate Black Dollars

• Shop at Black-owned businesses on purpose—not just during Black History Month.
• Support local vendors, artisans, and service providers.
• Use apps and directories like:
  • WeBuyBlack
  • Official Black Wall Street
  • Ujamaa

💰 Get Financially Relevant

• Learn the basics: credit, savings, budgeting, investing.
• Share knowledge within your family and friend circles.
• Start community money talks and investment groups.
• Teach our kids early, they deserve to know.

🛠️ Create What’s Missing

• Can’t find a Black-owned grocery store, daycare, or wellness studio?
  → Start the vision. Build what’s missing.
• Collaborate with folks in your circle, someone has the skills or the space to help make it happen.

🗳️ Prepare for the Midterms—Now

• Know who your local officials are.
• Follow policies that affect Black families, schools, housing, and jobs.
• Build voting squads early—don’t wait until campaign season.
• Stay registered. Stay alert. Stay involved.

🛏️ Rest Is Resistance

• Rest your mind. Rest your body. Rest your spirit.
• Healing is part of the fight.
• Rest is not quitting—it’s preparing.
